Turkey is a Wonderful Country

Turkey as a country is a lovely place. As you look through this web-site, you will see some of the photographs I take myself when I visit Turkey. These are NOT photographs taken by a professional photographer. They are my own holiday snaps. This for example is Fethiye Harbour at sunset

What I found in Turkey is that the people are just great: warm, welcoming and they love the British. I'm not just talking about shop-keepers and restaurant owners, trying to sell you something. The people in the street will smile and stop to chat. Stopping by a notice board to try to see what the local sights were, a local stopped, told me all about the area and gave me directions. After ten minutes of this, I had been invited for tea.

I first visited Turkey in the old fishing village of Fethiye. What I found there was a thriving English community; some were living there, permenently resident. some were holiday makers, but I found again and again that the British who visited Fethiye, and Turkey generally, came back time and again. It has so much going for it; a lovely climate, peace and quiet if you want it, buzz and activity if you want that. Great food; low cost of living.

Turkey is a Great Place to Invest in Property

The Turkish economy is expanding strongly. Although it has been, until recently quite under-developed, Turkey is now installing infra-structure everywhere. They are laying roads, expanding the airports, tunnelling through mountains to improve travel times... progress is visible everywhere. Here are a couple of links that will give you more information:

The long and short of all this is that Turkey is doing very well economically and consequently, property in Turkey is a good investment.
